The Donegal Appalachian Trail Walk: A Guided Walk from Bunglass via Slieve League to Malin Beg

Saturday August 31st at 9.00am

A 12 Km moderate to difficult walk

Beautiful scenery and breathtaking views, spectacular coastlines and some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe.

Registration and bus pickup at the Heritage Centre, Ardara on Saturday August 31st at 9.00am.

Duration approximately 8 hours.

Good hiking gear, waterproof jackets, boots, packed lunch, water etc. a must.

Church of Ireland Quiz

The Church of Ireland is staging a second quiz evening in the marquee at The Rectory, Killybegs Rd., Ardara, on Saturday August 31st at 8.30 pm.

The marquee was packed for an earlier quiz, and once again will include questions on a variety of subjects. There will be a raffle and refreshments.

Donegal Garden Society invites everyone to a talk by Brendan Little, well known horticulturalist and broadcaster, on the selection and maintenance of good varieties of shrubs.

Plant sales 7.30pm. Talk starts 8.00pm. Refreshments served. All welcome. Admission €7.

The Know Donegal Local Experts Programme continues this autumn, following the success of earlier workshops which saw more than 380 local business people and tourism professionals join the Know Donegal Local Experts Network.

Fáilte Ireland invites you to join this network and help grow the local economy by attending one of our Know Donegal workshops. These interactive workshops cover what there is to see and do in Donegal and Local Experts will receive future social media communications, a Local Experts Pass and the fantastic opportunity to network with other tourism businesses and interests.

If you own a B&B, work in a hotel, restaurant, pub, retail store, taxi company, or if you are active in your local community and deal with visitors on a regular basis, this programme is for you.

This is a free event and places are on a first come first served basis.

Please Clean Up After Your Pet

Dog poop bags are now available for free in the Heritage Centre.

If you own a dog please call in and collect them, and help keep Ardara clean.
