Church Candles

Because of the fact that the government has slapped a 23% VAT on shrine and all church candles, we are reluctantly forced to increase the charge for the shrine lights from 15¢ to 20¢. The new charge will be effective from this weekend.

Ukraine Collection

Thanks are due to the many people who supported the collection for Ukraine. You have been very generous, but to give the people who missed last weekend a chance to contribute, the box is still there on the table in the Church and when the final tally is counted I will let you know how much has been donated by the people of the Parish.

Plan for Synodality

You will remember that a few weeks ago we mentioned Pope Francis’ plan for Synodality in the ongoing development of the church, and how the Irish Bishops are taking the first steps to make the plan a reality.

On Thursday evening in the Cathedral in Letterkenny, our Bishop will have launched the Diocesan plan for the Diocese of Raphoe and as well as the priests of the parish, a representative of the parish community will receive a copy of the plan on behalf of the parish.

We hope we can make progress in implementing the plan in the months and years to come.

The Dead

We pray for Francis Molloy; for Nan Sweeney; for Denis Gallagher whose anniversaries occur, and for the deceased members of the Gallagher and Fisher families.

May they and all our deceased family members rest in peace.

Cemetery Grass

The grass in the cemetery will be cut (weather permitting) towards the end of this coming week. You may wish to cover family graves.
