Daily and weekend Masses at the usual times

Confessions available after the 11.00am Mass on Saturday.

First Friday

Friday next is the First Friday. Masses at 10.00am and 7.30pm

The elderly and housebound will be attended on the First Friday as usual.

Anniversary Masses this Coming Week

Monday: Mary, Peter and Fidelma O’Donnell.

Tuesday: Mary, Packie James and Seamus McNelis.

Wednesday: Deceased of Craig family, The Diamond.

Thursday: Deceased of Given family.

Friday at 10.00am: Bernie and deceased of Sweeney family Meenarillagh.

Saturday at 11.00am: Mary and Patrick Gallagher.

Diocesan Changes

Diocesan changes of clergy which will come into effect later in August and which will affect the Parish of Ardara:

Father Laverty is retiring as Parish Priest of Ardara after 30 years.

The new Parish Priest is Father Aodhan Cannon coming from Dungloe. He was here before as curate.

Father Johnny Moore becomes new Parish Priest of Dungloe.

Wild Atlantic Week

The Wild Atlantic Week festival opens with a special Celebration Céilí & Irish Night to include Séan Nós Dancing and Singing, storytelling etc. at 8.30pm. This event, celebrating 100 years of CLG Ard an Ratha, will take place in the GAA clubhouse. The night will incorporate Irish Céilí led by Clement Gallagher and the Duntally Céilí Band. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

The Dead

We pray for Connie Molloy, Wood Road, whose funeral took place this Saturday.

Also for Mary, Peter and Fidelma O’Donnell; Mary, Packie James and Seamus McNelis; Bertie Sweeney; Mary and Patrick Gallagher; whose anniversaries occur, and also for the deceased members of the Craig, Given and Sweeney families.

May their souls and all the souls of the Faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
