The Johnny Doherty Festival is a traditional music festival, held in honour of the fiddler, Johnny Doherty, comprising traditional concerts in the town.

John Doherty was a world-renowned traditional musician who as born in and spent much time in Ardara.

There will be lots of great music including The Friel Sisters, Bríd Harper, Dermot Byrne and Steve Cooney.

Narin, Portnoo, Rosbeg Community Co-op is a charity organisation based in the Dolmen Centre in
Kilclooney, Portnoo. The Candidate will be required to display responsibility, commitment and
motivation to implement the objectives of the CE programme and carry out an Identification of
Learner Needs process with each participant on the project as part of the Individual Learner Plan
process, then agree needs and to source and cost-effective training/development opportunities to
meet the needs identified.
The CE Supervisor role has special responsibilities for the Supervision of CE participants in the
Dolmen Centre, Glenties Day Centre and St Shanaghan house, Ardara. Participants on the scheme
are located in these three locations.
The successful candidate must have competencies in the following areas:

  • Business/Financial Administration
  • People Management and Supervision
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • ICT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) and Payroll
  • Training
  • Human Resources

Candidates must have 3 years supervisory experience and preferably a major 3rd level qualification
(NFQ level 6 or higher) for the role. Candidates will need to have a full driver’s licence and access to
their own car.
This position is based in the Dolmen Centre, Kilclooney with weekly travel to Glenties and Ardara
expected.
