Feast of the Assumption

Monday the 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and is a Holyday of Obligation (that means attendance at Mass if possible).

Masses on Monday at 10.00am and 7.30pm.

Masses for the rest of the week at the usual times

Confessions available after the 11.00am Mass on Saturday.

Anniversary Masses

  • Tuesday: Mick and Kitty Herron.
  • Friday: Paddy Breslin, Burkestown.
  • Saturday at 11.00am: Gerard & Margaret Slowey.
  • Saturday at 7.30pm: Evelyn and deceased of the O’Byrne family.

Pilgrimage to Knock

The Raphoe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on next Saturday 20th August.

Mass will be celebrated in the Basilica at 3.00pm. (available to watch on the Knock Shrine website)

World Youth Day

The Diocese of Raphoe will be leading a group of young people from the Diocese to World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal next August 1st – 6th 2023. Procession

A procession to honour the Blessed Virgin Mary will take place on the Feast of the Assumption, Monday 15th August, leaving Kilclooney Chapel at 7.30pm and praying the Rosary on the way to the Grotto, where we will have Benediction and Hymns.

All are welcome.

The Dead

We pray for Mick and Kitty Herron; Paddy Breslin; Gerard and Margaret Slowey; and Evelyn O’Byrne, whose anniversaries occur, and for deceased members of the Herron and O’Byrne families.
