Martina Maguire Memorial 10K:
The Martina Maguire Memorial 10K takes place on Sunday, 24th April starting at 1pm. Registration will take place at the Parish Centre from 11.30 am. Refreshments afterwards. All funds raised will go to Breast Cancer Research taking place at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Kilclooney Country Market:
Kilclooney Country Market wishes all our friends a very Happy Easter. We roar back into action on Easter Saturday at Iniskeel Hall, from 11am until 1pm. Come & get your favourite baked goodies, savoury delights, plants & handmade crafts. Or enjoy a reunion over a cuppa in our cafe corner, with lots of new delights to tempt you on our menu. Don’t miss our raffle for a hamper stuffed full of market goodies on the day.
South Donegal Branch of the Irish Pony Club:
The area cross country training took place in Co. Longford last weekwith 4 top senior instructors and a bountiful 85 jumps, including a water jump, were enjoyed by ponies and riders. Our young members will be working during this year to be able to take part next year. Dates for your diary: Tuesday, 22nd March, stable management/achievement badges and horse psychology day. Thursday, 31st March, Easter Hack/treasure hunt/riding and road safety/soup to finish kindly being donated by Harvey’s Point Hotel, Lough Eske. Please book asap with Ann Conaghan, on 086 0522834.
Volunteers needed:
The HUB Centre in Glenties is almost ready for opening. We need volunteers to help finish off painting and laying the laminated floor, and a few other finishing off jobs. If anyone can give a few hours could they please Contact the Family Resource Centre office on 074 9545879.
Inniskeel Drama Circle:
This years’ production is a 3-act comedy called ‘The Quare Gunk’, and will be performed in Inniskeel Hall Portnoo on Easter Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at 8.30pm. The usual characters will be in action plus a few newcomers. Come along and enjoy an entertaining evening out.
Sympathy:
The sympathy of the Community this week goes to the Boyle Family, Liskeraghan on the death last week of Sean Boyle whose funeral took place last Thursday.
