Donegal Person of The YearStephen McCahill will be inaugurated as The Donegal Person of the Year 2016 at the Annual Gala Ball on Saturday, 4th March in the Regency Hotel, Drumcondra, Dublin 9. Tickets are priced at €65.00 each and are available on http://www.donegalassociation.ie or from Donegal Association committee members. Tickets are booking well at the minute and the closing date for tickets is Wednesday 22nd February. Oliver Boyle Memorial Card DriveThe annual Oliver Boyle Memorial 25 Card Drive takes place in the Corner House on this Sunday 5th February at 8pm. Proceeds in aid of Shanaghan House Packie Manus Byrne Memorial WeekendThe Packie Manus Byrne weekend to mark his 100th Birthday, will be held in Ardara on the weekend of 17th / 18th February. It will be a weekend of music and storytelling. More information will follow over the next few weeks. Artwork / Sale AuctionThe annual Artwork / Sale Auction will be held on Friday 24th March in Nancy’s. This is a great event and getting bigger and bigger every year. Comedy Play “Widows Paradise”The comedy play “Widows Paradise” was a great hit last weekend in the GAA Club house for all those who attended the shows. Thanks to all the cast and Director Noel O’Donnell assisted by Marie Therese Haughey who did trojan work over the last few months. Community Centre GymThe Community Centre Gym is now opened. It is fully equipped and available to the public for use. Sets & CeilisSets and Ceili Classes will resume on this Monday and every Monday at 7.30 p.m. Anyone wishing to join is most welcome.
