The Loughros Point Rowing Club are having a cake sale after 11 o’clock mass this Sunday the 28th of October in the Parish Centre.

Matchmaking Festival 5K Run/Walk

The Matchmaking Festival is holding a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday 10th November at 12 noon beginning at the GAA Clubhouse [View Google Map].Registration will take place at the Clubhouse from 11am. €10 per adult, €5 for Juniors and €20 for family entry. There are prizes for Senior Gents and Ladies and Junior Male and Female.

Pen2Paper

The Dolmen Centre has a wonderful writers’ group called Pen2Paper who have published a book of short stories and paintings called “A New Day Dawns”. This is local talent and is a credit to them all.The book is on sale in Diver’s and The Present Day and all proceeds go to the RNLI, The Alzheimer’s Society and The Irish Guide Dogs Association. The Writers’ Group are amazed at the support they have got so far. They have surpassed their intended targets and have now sponsored a young dog to be trained as a guide dog and all monies raised are to be spent in Donegal. 

Fundraising Dance

A fundraising dance will be held in Elliott’s Bar Lettermacaward on the 28th October in aid of Letterkenny and Galway University Hospital Oncology Departments. This dance has been organised by James (the baker) Melly. All donations will be greatly appreciated. 

Ardara Camera Club Photography Talk

This will be your opportunity to learn some new ideas, see some amazing photography, discuss techniques etc. with multi award winning photographer Brian McNamee, and to meet others with an interest in photography – young, old, experienced and beginners.We are a friendly bunch of enthusiasts and all are welcome!Wednesday 24th October 7-9pm at the Dolmen Centre, Portnoo.Tea and coffee provided.
