Wonderful St. Patrick’s Parade

Congratulations and thank you to Councillor Terence Slowey for being the Grand Marshall this year. A very deserving choice as Terence represented Ardara with distinction over the past 18 years on Donegal County Council. Thanks to all the wonderful bands and great Floats who entered this year!1st Place Float It was a difficult choice for the judges but they selected the Bridget Robins Zumba Class Float on the theme of Brexit as the winner!2nd Place Float In second place was the wonderfully funny float from Loughros Point depicting the fate of Minister Harris, the Nurses’ Strike and the Children’s Hospital. All the Floats were brilliant and thanks to everyone who participated.Bands It must have been equally difficult selecting the bands, but the judges decision went to the Keadue Band for the great mix of youth and adults and the huge advancement from last year.Best Dressed Window Congratulations go out to Aileen and Liam McNelis, Front Street, on winning the Annual Cup for the St. Patrick’s Day best dressed window. Beautiful and well deserved.See more photos and videos of the parade on the Ardara Town Facebook page.
