St. Patricks Parade:The Parade this year will take place on Sunday 20th March and we ask all to put their thinking hats on for ideas for the Floats. Floats from everywhere are most welcome, and all the usual Marching Bands are booked. Once again it promises to be a great day.St. Patricks Walking Festival: The Committee have the Walking Routes all organised for the St. Patricks weekend . Again this year some very interesting and challenging walks are planned. For more information contact John Damian on 087 6655828Barn Dancing:Barn Dancing will be held in St Shanaghan House with Cathy every Thursday night from 8.30pm to 10pm Jiving Classes Return: A new programme of Jiving Classes returns at the Heritage Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm. Also Waltz and Quick Step will be taught. All are welcome. Play in the Methodist Hall:There will be play in the Methodist Hall called “My Maiden Aunt” on this Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights 11th, 12th and 13th February beginning at 8pm. Admission is €10.00 Congratulations:Congratulations to Eoghan “Larry” Gallagher, Edergole, who was successful in the U.13 Shot Putt in Ulster at the weekend where he achieved 2nd place. He is now through to the All Ireland Finals. Oliver Boyle Cards: A great night was had in the Corner House for the Oliver Boyle Card Drive on Sunday night. Card Players from all over the South West played at this ever popular event. The money raised went to the Resource Centre, and the winners on the night were Eamon Doherty and John Big Francie and Tony Gildea and Anthony O Donnell. Sympathy:The Sympathy of the Community this week goes to the Deane Family, Monargan, on the death last week of Charlie Deane.
