Remembrance Day

A Remembrance Day service will be held at St. Conal’s Church, Ardara, on Sunday (November 13th). The names of all those from Ardara, Glenties, and surrounding area, who were killed during World War 1 and World War 2, will be recorded during the service which begins at 10am.

Ardara Community Centre Christmas Craft Fair

The Ardara Christmas Craft Fair will take place in the Community Centre Ardara on Saturday 26th November 2022. Come and join over 30 festive stalls under one roof. The range is dazzling – everything from home-baking to hand-made jewellery, Christmas decorations to hand weaving products, chocolates to painted pots and glass, natural beauty & cosmetic products, flower settings, candles, jams and wood crafts.

Come along and support all our local crafters. Entrance is free. Pop along during the day from 11am to 5.30pm.

Mulled wine and mulled juice will be served on the day.

There’s going to be a kid’s corner with puzzles, crayons to draw or colour a picture and a Santa’s Letter Post Box, and best of all, Face Painter “Paula Scallywag” will be available to paint some lovely Christmassy faces!

Table Loom Weaving and Spinning Classes

Table loom weaving and spinning classes will take place in the Heritage Centre Ardara over the winter. If interested contact Colm 087-3222910

Ceili & Two Hand Dancing Classes

The Ceili & 2 Hand Dancing Classes for Adults continue every Wednesday in the GAA Club House from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. Tuition of the classes is by Clement Classes. Come and learn Irish Dances like: The Polka, Pride of Eireann Waltz, Mazurka, Highland to name but a few. This is open to both male and female and look forward to seeing you all. The classes are €5 and refreshments will be served.

Sympathy

The community would like to sympathise with the McGill Family, Maghera and Scadaman, on the death of Jimmy McGill in London who passed away recently. Also to Patricia Gallagher, Killystewart and Orla Diver, Drimaha on the death of their father Sean Meehan in Killybegs on Friday last.
