Ardara GAA Presents ‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’

After a lapse of two years the GAA Drama Group are back with another hilarious comedy play by Jimmy Keary called “The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley”.

The Play will take place in the Ardara GAA Clubhouse on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January at 8.00pm each night.

Country & Western Weekend

Ardara Country and Western Weekend

A weekend of country and western music will take place in Ardara from February 3rd to 6th.

The weekend will feature top country stars, as well as lots of jiving and line dancing, with entertainment in all the pubs.

Office Skills Course

Donegal ETB Further Education and Training Services is inviting applicants from Ardara area to take part in its ICDL Digital Office Skills part time course in Donegal Town which will run from January 30th to May 30th.

Many jobs now entail the use of technology. Attaining the ICDL certification shows that you have the ability to use digital devices and tools confidently and productively and are able to compete in today’s competitive work environment.

The ICDL modules included are – Spreadsheets, Documents, Computer and Online Essentials. The course runs on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.30am to 2pm. To apply or for further information, please contact Siobhan Coughlan on 074-9725520 or email siobhancoughlan@donegaletb.ie

The course is part time and free of charge to any adult who has less than upper second level education / who has a social welfare payment / who has a medical card.

Courses are accredited by ICDL Ireland and do not affect existing social welfare entitlements. BTEI is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union.

There was no winner of this week’s jackpot. The numbers drawn were 5, 13, 19 and 30.

Nearest were Mary Kelly, Woodhill Grove and John McConnell, Edergole.

Late Isobel Lockhart

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the family of Isobel Lockhart who died peacefully at home at Drimitteen, Loughros Point, Ardara.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters Georgina, Roberta and son Richard. Sadly missed by her brothers Sandy and Wilbert, sister Georgina (deceased), nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral took place at her home on Saturday at 1pm followed by burial in Killcashel Graveyard.

Donations in lieu of flowers if desired to Ardara Methodist Church c/o any family member.
