Ardara from 35,000 feet!

A bird’s eye view

Have you ever wondered what our wee place looked like from above?Well, the attached series of photographs was taken by a Nephew of Ann Polland, Proprietor of Annora Bar in Narin, who operates as a Pilot flying trans Atlantic flights for a well known airline. The photos were taken yesterday morning (Thursday) at dawn, and while many of us slept, this Boeing 777 was soaring at 35,000 feet above our heads. If you look closely at the first and second photos, you can see Inniskeel island, the Gweebarra and the dozens of lakes dotted throughout the area. In the third photo, you can see the strand at Maghera, Slieveatooey with Killybegs & St. John’s Point in the background.Lastly, if you can zoom into the cockpit photo, you will see the altimeter and the reading. Yikes!!
