The 19th Annual Poor Farmers Association Auction The PFA @ Teagues Bar Ardara, Co. Donegal on Friday the 27th December 2024 kicking off 9pm sharp, come in early to avoid disappointment standing room only but you might be lucky enough to grab a seat.

To date the P.F.A has raised an astonishing 523,149.00 for local charities and again keeping the now tradition of keeping it local, the money raised on the night from the PFA auction will be distributed between the, Resource Centre Ardara, Cancer Care West and Palliative Care Nurses

All these organisations /charities rely heavily on public donations to provide vital services to the localcommunities. This year the P.F.A. is delighted to be supporting these worthwhile and important organisations. As always, the generosity of the local communities so please dig deep and support the PFA each year. The PFA is a group of local volunteers who run this event cost free for the last 19 years, with all the existing volunteers in place since 2006 in Teagues.

The P.F.A. auction we will be as usual a great night’s craic. The stage is transformed into a bidding table for the auctioneer taking charge of proceedings over the usual dance floor which also morphs, on the night, into ‘the mart ring’ with livestock auctioned in bar… but seeing is believing so be sure to make your way to Teague’s Bar on Fri Dec 27th.  

The PFA have embraced the online bidding platform, so if you can’t make it in person to Teagues, don’t worry…  you can place your bids online and enjoy the craic from your home.

Online bids can be made by following the link on the Teagues Bar and The PFA Facebook pages.

The online bids are managed by Marteye, so please sign up to Marteye and register you can then bid and buy all night, If you have already registered with LSL PFA platform you should automatically be registered on Marteye.

In the past, lots auctioned have included sheep, heifers, bags of turf, chickens, gates, bags of nuts and bales of silage to name but a few.
“We’ve lots flying in as we speak. And we’re expecting a wide and varied range of items to be in place by the time the night comes around. If you’ve never been to the event, at Teagues Bar, Ardara ..then you should make the effort this year as it’s truly a unique night that will live long in your memory – it’s crazy – but it’s all for such a great cause!”
