Message from St. Shanaghan House Management
In normal times residents and management at St. Shanaghan House love visitors calling and/or walking through the grounds, but with the present Covid-19 situation we have asked people not to visit the house and we would really appreciate it if walkers could change their walking route and avoid walking through the grounds of St. Shanaghan. This would allow residents to come outside the house for short periods and avoid contact with anyone.
Memories from past Cup of Tae Festival events will be broadcast on Owenea FM on Saturday and Sunday. Visit the Owenea FM Facebook page for all their latest announcements and schedules.
Owenea broadcasts on 100.8 FM, or you can listen online at donegalsounds.com or use the player on this site (in the sidebar to the right on large screens, or scroll down on small screens/mobiles)
Changes to Procedure for Ordering Prescriptions
To order your repeat prescription with Ardara Health Centre, please click the link below and fill out the form.
You no longer need to come to the surgery to drop off or collect your prescription. You can fill in your details online here, and when approved, we will send it electronically to your pharmacy. They will contact you when your medicines are ready to collect. If you phone the surgery on (074-9541134), this is the same link that our receptionist will send to you.
During the Covid-19 crisis we are issuing 3-month prescriptions, but please bear in mind that your chemist may only dispense your medicine one month at a time.
Please do not try to order your prescription too far in advance as it will not be processed until necessary, and may cause confusion. (2 weeks in advance is sufficient)
If you are experiencing difficulty with these forms please phone the surgery on (074-9541134), and our receptionist will direct you to our support number.
Unfortunately a complete medication review is not possible during this Covid-19 crisis (blood pressure, blood clinic etc). We will inform you when these services resume.
*Note: This link is for use of Ardara Health Centre Patients ONLY
These are steps that we have had to take to continue providing our services in a safe and sustainable way. This cuts out handling of papers and trips to the Health Centre that can be avoided.
We understand that this new system may be confusing for some. In these cases, carers or family members are kindly asked to fill out the form on their behalf. We have tried to make it as accessible as possible but should you experience difficulty please do not hesitate to phone the Health Centre.
Take care, and please, stay home.
