PÁDRAIC FIACC – ‘Tear The Dead Day Back Alive’ – 6pm Wednesday 6th August
Literary Executor, Michael McKernon will present a short film and talk about the dazzling work of this international Irish poet. Member of Aosdana for many years, and holder of the prestigious AE George Russell Award, Pádraic made an indelible mark on Irish literary tradition. One week before his death in 2019 President M D Higgins visited him and on behalf of the people of Ireland thanked him for the ‘…significant contribution he has made to the world of literature…’
Spanish Armada Reenactment Walk and Historic Encampment – Sunday 18th August
Ardara Agricultural Show 2024 – Saturday 10th August
The annual Ardara Show takes place this Saturday 10th August in the Ardara GAA Grounds which will be a day packed full of entertainment for all the family.
Doon Fort Walk – Thursday 22nd August
As part of Heritage Week, Donegal GAP Heritage and History Group are facilitating a walk to the vantage point of Doon Fort along with a chance to see the Doon Fort exhibition in the Kilclooney Dolmen Centre.
