World War One Commemorative Event

The Island of Ireland Peace Park in Flanders, Belgium, a war memorial to the soldiers of the island of Ireland who died, were wounded or are missing from World War 1, during Ireland's involvement in the conflict.

Commemorating locals who took part in the ‘Great War’

It has been proposed to host a commemorative event to honour those from Ardara, Downstrands and Glenties who participated in World War 1.
