Sunday, 31st July      

An Historical Coastal Walk –  Around the Loughros Point coastline.  Leaving from The Holy Family Church at 10.30am with guide Conor Whyte.  Bring a packed lunch and good walking boots/rain gear.

Walk through the town –    Sharing memories of people and buildings.  Starts from the Community Centre at 4.00pm and will be presented by Bart Whelan.  Refreshements in the Heritage Centre afterwards.

Monday, 1st August      

Hands Across the Sand –             

Come to Narin Beach at 11.00am as we join Hands Across the Sand fun event to help the community reach its goal of a public swimming pool.  Contact Ken 087 4108 645.

Dancing at the crossroads –    On the Diamond at 8.00pm. Join Clement Gallagher and friends for a night of fun.                                              

Shaun McMonagle Big Band in town at 10.30pm.                      

Tuesday, 2nd August    

Bus trip to Arranmore Island –  A fun day of laughter to the island with tour of the island and music.  The bus departs from the Heritage Centre at 10.45am sharp.  Return to the mainland at 6.00pm.  Contact Stephen 087 2424 590  or the Tourist Office.  Seats are limited.    

Street Music on The Diamond at 4.00pm        

An evening at The Green Gate at 6.00pm  –    Join Paula as she takes you on a tour of the Green Gardens at The Green Gate.  Enjoy tea and scones as you enjoy panoramic views.      

Wednesday, 3rd August     

A visit back in Time –    The development of our most important industry.  Weaving at Molloy’s Factory Shop, Killybegs road at 11.00am.  Join Michael as he demonstrates and explains the tweed industrial development from past times until today.  An event not to be missed.  

Walk to Ardara Fort and Owenea Standing Stone –  Depart from the Heritage Centre at 2.00pm, with guide Paula Harvey.  Good walking boots/rain gear. Refreshments in the Heritage Centre afterwards.

Thursday, 4th August 

Town Trail around the Town –  Taking in Magumna, Kentucky and The Bog Road.  Meet at the Holy Family Church at 12 noon.  

Bart Whelan Photographic Exhibition – in the Heritage Centre all day.    

Street Music – On the Diamond at 4.00pm.            

 Scarlet Rose Quiz – In Nancy’s Bar, begining at 9.30pm.  All welcome to a special night of fun.

Friday, 5th August   

Documentary on Ardara / Donegal – In the Heritage Centre at 12 noon.  This documentary is well worth viewing.                                                        

Arts & Crafts Display –   At Shanaghan House at 2.00pm.  Come and enjoy the craic at this display of arts and crafts.  To include afternoon tea.                                                                                          

Visit to Stephen Bennett’s Art Gallery –  At Carn at 4.00pm.  Our most famous artist, Stephen Bennett is available at all times to show his large arrray of artwork.  Special rates are available this week.  

Street Music – On The Diamond at 6.00pm.  

Duck Racing –  On the Owentocker River at 7.00pm.  The Loughros Point Rowing Club fundraiser, please support.  A good night of fun.  Contact: Theresa 087 9159 351.  

Talk on the Doon Fort Experience –      In the Heritage Centre at 7.30pm.  Presented by Paula Harvey on behalf of the Adara GAP Heritage and History Group.
